Privacy policy
Habimine is operated by Umesh Kharade. This explains what the app keeps about you, why, who can see it, and how to delete it. Last updated 15 October 2026. The app is for people aged 13 and over.
What the app keeps
- Your account: the email address and password you register with (the password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication — we never see it).
- Your hunter: name, level, stats, quests and their history, streaks, skills, inventory, titles and settings.
- Your gender, if you choose to give it (Male, Female, Non-binary or "Rather not say"). It is optional, it is kept privately on your own record, other players cannot see it, and it only picks your default avatar figure and how the app words things about you. It never changes your quests, targets, EXP, ranks or rewards. You can change it in your Profile.
- Habit logs you choose to enter: sleep, water, sunlight, servings, reflections, focus sessions, study and reading logs, workouts.
- Routines you set up: the times, days and task lists of your morning and wind-down routines (the tasks are text you write), and which tasks you marked done or skipped on recent days.
- Daily tips: which tips you have been shown and whether you switched tips off, so the same tip is not repeated too soon. Tips are chosen on your phone from your own logs (for example a short night of sleep); nothing is sent anywhere for this.
- Wealth (optional): the money entries, budgets, savings goals and card reminders you type in or paste. Bank or card details are never asked for, and messages are read only when you paste or share them into the app.
- Social (optional): a public profile (name, level, rank, streak), friends, chat and party messages, invite codes, blocks, and reports you send.
- Purchases (only if you subscribe): which plan you own and until when. Payment itself is handled by Google Play; we never see your card or payment details. The purchase is checked through RevenueCat, a subscription service that receives an anonymous app user id and your purchase status for this.
- Notifications: if you turn push notifications on, a token that identifies this phone for delivery. Routine and reminder notifications are scheduled on your phone itself.
- AI features (optional, only after you agree): your language choice, your agreement to the AI terms, a monthly usage count for fair-use limits, and the AI-written reports and notes made for you, kept so you can read them again without paying for a new one. See "AI features" below.
AI features (optional)
Some features use AI: explaining a Vault card, AI conversation practice, tapping a word to see its meaning, and written summaries of your weekly activity, charts, Vault progress and monthly reassessments. They are off until you agree, you can switch them off any time in Profile, and the app works without them.
To write an answer, the app sends a small piece of information to our AI provider, Anthropic: the card you asked about, the words you type in an AI conversation or a word lookup, or summary numbers from your own activity (for example counts and levels). It never sends your name, email, account id, social chat messages or contacts, and no Wealth data is sent. Sleep, bedtime and resting heart rate are never sent. Anthropic processes this for us only to produce the answer.
We do not keep a transcript of your AI conversations. We keep the finished reports and notes made for you, a usage count, your language choice and a record that you agreed, in your own account, and they are deleted with it. Explanations of built-in Vault cards and of single words are stored without any link to your account and reused for other hunters to save cost, and the most common words are collected into a dictionary that the app downloads to your phone. If you report a wrong meaning, the word (not your name) is kept so it can be re-checked. If you report an AI answer, we keep the answer you saw, your reason and note, and your account id so we can reply; only a person reads it, it is never sent to the AI, and it is kept for as long as needed to handle the report and protect others.
AI can be wrong. What it writes is general information, not medical, fitness, mental-health or financial advice, and the app is not a medical device. Check anything important with a professional.
Things that stay on your phone
- Watch data (optional): with your permission the app READS workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, steps, distance, active calories and sleep from Health Connect. These readings are used on the phone to spot workouts and are not uploaded. Only the summary of a workout you choose to apply (its name, length and the EXP it gave) or a night of sleep you choose to use is saved to your account. The app never writes to Health Connect, and you can switch access off in Health Connect at any time.
- Screen time (optional): if you allow Usage Access, daily and per-app screen-time totals are read on the phone; the daily totals are saved to your account for your own statistics.
- Books you add from your device are kept only on that phone. Reading progress (page number) is saved to your account; the book text is not.
- Your sign-in is kept in the phone's secure storage.
How it is used
Only to run the app: to show your progress, calculate rewards, sync between your devices, send the reminders and notifications you switch on, and keep the social features and moderation working. We do not sell your data, show advertising, or use it to profile you for others. There is no third-party analytics.
Your data is stored with Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Authentication), which processes it for us under Google's terms. If you use the AI features, Anthropic processes the information described under "AI features" for us, only to produce your answer.
Who can see what
- Only you can see your logs, Wealth data, watch and screen-time data. The app's administrator can open a hunter's main record (level, stats, settings) to give support and moderate, but not your logs or messages.
- Friends and party members can see your public profile; everyone in the app can find you by your hunter name or invite code, and the leaderboard shows you only if you opt in.
- People you chat with can see the messages you send them.
- Staff who moderate the app can see reports and the messages that were reported.
Your rights and choices
- Access and export: Profile → EXPORT MY DATA gives you a complete copy of everything the app holds about you, right on your phone, to keep or send wherever you like.
- Correct: change your name, gender and settings any time in Profile; write to us for anything you cannot change yourself.
- Delete: Profile → DELETE MY ACCOUNT removes your account and its data immediately and permanently — see below for exactly what that covers.
- Withdraw consent: turning off an optional feature (gender, Wealth, watch sync, screen time, the leaderboard) stops the app collecting that data going forward; deleting your account withdraws all of it.
- Complain: if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data or a request, write to habimineapp@gmail.com — see "Grievance officer" below for how we handle it.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data is kept while your account exists. To delete it, open Profile → PRIVACY & ACCOUNT → DELETE MY ACCOUNT. That signs you out and removes your hunter and everything under it, your public profile and name, your friendships, requests and blocks, the messages you sent, your party membership, your invite code, your notification tokens, your AI agreement, usage count and saved AI reports, and the books and settings on that phone. It cannot be undone.
Reports you sent or that were filed about you, and moderation records, are kept so other people stay protected; they hold ids and the report text, not your profile. Ordinary backups are overwritten by Google within a few weeks.
If you cannot open the app, ask for deletion by writing to habimineapp@gmail.com from the email address on the account.
Grievance officer
For complaints or requests about your personal data, contact Umesh Kharade at habimineapp@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge every request promptly and resolve it as soon as reasonably possible, and in line with the timelines set by applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where it applies to you).
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, protected by access rules so each account can reach only its own records, and your sign-in is stored in the phone's secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, so please choose a strong, unique password.
Children
The app is not for children under 13 and we do not knowingly keep their data. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and the account will be removed.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you. Questions or requests: habimineapp@gmail.com.
